B Course: The Dragon God (Uda city - Soni village)

bcourse scStart from Murou. Further on from Ryuketsu-jinja Shrine, which is located a little way upstream from Murou-ji Temple along the Muro River, you will find the Dragon' s Cave where the Dragon God who rule the rain and the clouds is said to live, enveloping the area in a mystical atmosphere. Keep going along the Tokai Nature Trail and after .Kumatawa, you will come to Saijobo Valley (photo 8·2) where I there is a waterfall with a series of emerald green pools. It is said that mountain ascetics (Shugendo worshippers) used to use this waterfall for religious purification and cleansing the I body. Following this you will reach Kazura Bus Stop with a I view of Mt. Kabuto, which looks exactly like a Kabuto helmet I and Mt. Yoroi, a valiant rocky mountain along the way.

* To enjoy your trekking
Please plan ahead and leave plenty of time to spare so you can begin your descent by 3:00pm. Submit a climbing plan to the nearest police station, and inform family members and friends of your destination before entering the mountain area. Use the toilet before entering the mountain area, if possible. If you become concerned about your current location during your trek, backtrack to a location you are familiar with. Please note that picking plants and trapping animals is prohibited in the National Park. Be sure to take your garbage back with you.
* Basic equipment
Wear non-slip shoes that are comfortable to walk in. A long-sleeve shirt, long pants and a hat are essential. The weather in the mountain area frequently changes, so bring winter clothes and wet weather gear. Ensure you are carrying adequate food and water, and consume frequently.
